GEO & SEO services

Be found when
buyers ask AI.

Help customers discover your business through ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI answers.

We combine generative engine optimisation (GEO), SEO and local search with the website improvements needed to support them.

Clear scope. Practical changes. Measured progress.

The opportunity

Your next customer has a question.

Google and ChatGPT logos, with a hand pointing towards ChatGPT.

They might type it into Google. They might ask an AI assistant to compare suppliers.

Either way, your business needs to be easy to find, understand and assess. A clear service page, real experience and accurate information give a buyer something useful to work with.

GEO focuses on how your business appears in AI answers. SEO helps people discover it through search. Local SEO connects that work to the places you actually serve.

We bring the work together and make the changes.

Evidence from our own work

Search growth.
From our own businesses.

These are websites built and operated by our technical director, Michael Szalaty. They are related-business examples, not independent MSD client engagements.

The work includes service and location pages, useful course content, internal linking and technical SEO.

Where we can be useful

Good at what you do.
Harder to find online.

This work suits businesses with real expertise and a clear service to sell.

Recruitment and staffing businesses need the right employers and candidates. Training providers need learners to understand the course and qualification. Specialist service businesses need buyers who understand the problem they solve.

We agree which customers and enquiries matter before choosing the pages, places and questions to target.

Meet the people doing the work

The monthly programme

A clear plan.
Work you can see.

Start with an assessment. Continue with a defined monthly scope covering agreed improvements, monitoring and a review with a director.

Website changes, content, local profiles and reference opportunities are prioritised together. Extra work is agreed before it starts.

  1. 01

    Baseline

Agree the customers, services, market and questions that matter. Check current search visibility, AI citations and enquiry measurement.

  2. 02

    Prioritise

Choose the next work from the evidence: a blocked page, an unanswered buyer question, weak proof or inaccurate business information.

  3. 03

    Implement

Make the agreed website and content changes. Check how they work on desktop and mobile, then publish and notify search engines of updates.

  4. 04

    Review

Report what changed, what was observed and what to do next. Keep visibility, website visits and qualified enquiries separate.

You keep your accounts, content and reporting history. The next month's work follows the evidence.

Measurement

Visibility is a start.
Enquiries are the point.

A mention in an AI answer is different from someone choosing your business. Your reporting should make that clear.

Search visibility
Indexing checks, relevant queries, impressions and clicks in Google and Bing.
AI visibility
Google's available generative AI impression reports, Bing citation reports and a documented sample of buyer questions across agreed AI platforms.
Website visits
Observed search and AI referrals, landing pages and enquiry paths, where consent and the available data allow measurement.
Qualified enquiries
Form enquiries, calls and meetings your team confirms are a fit. Booking-link clicks are recorded separately.

DataForSEO supports keyword, competitor, backlink and citation research. Third-party volumes and traffic estimates are labelled as estimates. Coverage varies by platform and country.

How we approach it

Make the business a useful source.

Clear answers. Relevant evidence. Information people can trust.

Google's guidance keeps useful, original content and sound SEO at the centre of AI search. OpenAI and Anthropic also document how their search systems access websites. We use that guidance to prioritise work, while measuring what the platforms actually show.

Rankings and AI recommendations are controlled by the platforms. We commit to the agreed work and transparent reporting.

The practical questions

Before
we begin.

What is generative engine optimisation (GEO)?

GEO is work intended to improve how a business is discovered, understood and cited in AI-generated answers. It combines useful, evidenced content and clear business information with accessible websites and measurement. We apply it alongside SEO, rather than treating it as a separate ranking switch.

Can you help us get found by ChatGPT and Claude?

We can check search access, improve the pages that explain your services, strengthen supporting evidence and test relevant questions. We then record whether your business is named or cited. ChatGPT and Claude choose their own sources, and answers vary by question, model, location and session. No provider can guarantee a recommendation.

Does GEO replace SEO?

No. Google says its generative AI search features rely on its core search systems. Crawlable pages, useful content and a good experience remain the foundation. Our programme covers traditional search and AI visibility together, with separate measures for each.

Do we need special AI files or extra schema?

Google does not require special AI files, a particular content length or special schema for its generative search features. We use structured data where it accurately describes your visible content, and prioritise useful pages and genuine evidence over adding markup for its own sake.

What does local SEO include?

We review the services and places you genuinely cover, your website and eligible business profiles. Work can include Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect and relevant review platforms such as Trustpilot. Profile eligibility and ownership are checked first. We do not invent offices or publish copies of the same page for every town.

Do you build backlinks?

We assess existing links and identify relevant references, partnerships, directories and editorial opportunities. Placement depends on the publisher and your actual relationships. We do not sell a guaranteed backlink count, paid ranking links, fabricated reviews or mentions presented as independent endorsements.

How do you measure AI visibility?

We use available first-party search reports and a documented set of test questions, supported by third-party citation data where coverage fits the market. Each report names the platform, period and method. A brand mention, a source citation, a referred visit and a confirmed enquiry are recorded separately. A prompt sample does not represent every user.

Do we need a new website?

Often the useful work is on the site you already have. We assess its content, access, structure and measurement before recommending changes. When development is needed, MSD can implement it as part of the agreed scope.

How does the monthly service work?

We agree an initial assessment and then a defined monthly scope: the site, market, priorities, implementation work and reporting. You see what was completed and why the next work is recommended. Fees and any extra work are agreed before delivery. Search engines control crawling and rankings, so we do not promise a fixed date for results.
