STORAGE

What this site stores today

Essential security storage supports the enquiry form. Optional analytics only starts after your acceptance.

We do not use advertising cookies, advertising pixels or third-party embeds. Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in our analytics configuration.

Where Google Analytics 4 is enabled, its script only loads and its cookies are only set after you choose Accept analytics. It uses pseudonymous browser and session identifiers to understand visits, page views and selected interactions. We use these in summarised reports, never for advertising. See how to manage your choice below.

We protect the contact form with Vercel BotID, which checks whether a submission is a genuine person or automated traffic. That check can write to your browser's session storage, not a cookie, and it clears itself when you close the tab.

Analytics events do not include your enquiry's contents. Reported page addresses exclude query strings and fragments. Preview and local development sites do not run analytics by default.

CONTROL

How to control cookies and storage

Your browser provides controls for cookies and site storage. If a security check prevents a form submission, you can email us directly.

Block cookies in your browser

Every modern browser has a setting to block or limit cookies, by site or entirely. You can continue to read the website with cookies blocked. If browser restrictions prevent a form submission, you can email us directly.

Clear session storage

The session storage used by the contact-form check clears itself automatically when you close the browser tab. You can also clear it manually from your browser's site-data or developer-tools settings.

Change your analytics choice at any time

Where analytics is enabled, use Cookie settings in the footer to reopen the choice. Reject analytics stops further collection and removes this site's analytics cookies. It does not delete information Google has already received. You can also clear the saved choice through your browser's site-data settings.

Does MSD Systems use cookies to track me?
Optional Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits and measure activity on this site, but only after you accept analytics. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not fully anonymous. We do not use advertising cookies or pixels, and Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled.
What does Google Analytics do on this site?
Google Analytics 4 is optional. Where it is enabled, its script does not load and it sets no cookies before you accept analytics. After acceptance, it measures page views, selected contact-link clicks and delivered enquiry events. The form's contents are not sent to analytics. You can withdraw through Cookie settings to stop further collection and remove this site's analytics cookies.
What is Vercel BotID, and what does it store?
Vercel BotID checks whether a contact-form submission comes from a person or from automated traffic. The check can use your browser's session storage rather than a cookie, and that storage clears itself when you close the tab.
Why does the cookie banner only ask about analytics?
Where analytics is enabled, the banner asks about our optional analytics cookies. Essential storage remembers your choice and protects the contact form. It is described above and is separate from optional analytics. If we add another optional purpose, we will update this page and the controls before it starts.
How do I block or delete cookies in my browser?
Every browser has a settings page for blocking or deleting cookies, either site by site or entirely. You can read the website with cookies blocked. If a browser restriction prevents you from submitting the form, email sales@msdsystems.co.uk directly.
Does this page ever change?
Yes, in one direction that matters to you: any time we add a new cookie or storage item, we update this page before or at the same moment the new item goes live, with a new revision date at the top.
